BEFORE & AFTER - VINTAGE TRAVEL TRAILER

My dream finally became a reality  - I purchased a vintage travel trailer! I bought this Midway 1959 travel trailer from a really lovely couple up north a few weeks ago. I really knew nothing of trailers going into it, so I just learned as I went along.  We were so ambitious to finish it as soon as possible because we just wanted to get it out on the road! It was just as fun to fix up as it is to camp it in, just because I love giving old items new life! It took a lot of elbow grease, time, and patience but I am finally done with her and I couldn't be happier. Overall the trailer was in decent condition but was in need of some TLC. Water damage on one panel, chipped and distressed wood, and window problems were the biggest issues, which weren't too bad. At first, I couldn't even imagine sleeping in the bed area; filled with dirt, grime, spiders and other creepy crawlies. I unearthed some yucky insects over there!  It's amazing what some deep cleaning and fresh paint can do to a place!

Beforeeeee...... Damaged wood, kitschy cherry curtains, ugly pink formica counter, framed bird guides (although endearing, they were just too dingy). I painted the walls, put in a new table made by my dude, tin stained the counter tops, made new cushions, and hung new curtains, which are made of turkish towels I purchased here on etsy.

The original drawers with wood shacks and rope ties. I think I will replace these soon as the wood is a bit rotted on the inside.

I installed this galvanized piping for a clothing rack when I have vintage pop up sales. Another exciting aspect of having a vintage trailer!
