1. Smudge it up. Traditionally, smudging is an important ritual and should be done with an intention, as it cleanses the mind and home of negativity. If you aren't into that whole thing, the smell alone is peaceful and there is a sense of stillness when smudging. You can find California harvested white sage smudge sticks here (6 each).
2. Surround yourself with green. Not only do they look great in a home, they also purify the air and reduce stress and fatigue. Sounds like a win-win to me! If only I was a better plant mom. . .
3. Stock up on reading material. There is nothing better than sitting on the couch, with a cup of coffee and a favorite magazine. I love blogs and Pinterest, but sometimes it's nice to step away from the screens. Although it's a simple act, it can really make an impact on a day. My favorite magazines are Kinfolk, Cereal, Apartmento, and Vogue. It's great to give your eyes a rest and get some inspiration the old fashion way.
