Mornings with Caynon Coffee

When seeking out products to sell at Wild Poppy Goods, having a brand be the right fit is just as important as the goods they produce. In this case, when I reached to Casey and Ally about selling their coffee, they offered to send me a bag to sample first. To be honest, I didn't need to try the coffee as I've heard raving reviews about it, but I did. And I was really impressed. My man, who's a professional barista trained by Heart Roasters, said these are some damn fine beans. And he is picky when it comes to coffee! :) Stay tuned for Canyon Coffee at Wild Poppy Goods... but for now, you can buy it on their site!

Spring Table: Dining Alfresco for Two

Taylor Kitto Wild Poppy Goods Wonder Valley Olive Oil

It has been a long winter for us here in Portland but Spring is finally just around the corner. Living here has made me appreciate how wonderful Spring is. Flowers are in bloom, Farmer's Markets are finally opening, and my favorite part -- being able to dine outside! Our back patio table is back in action. I love any opportunity to sit outside to eat -- doesn't it just make a meal feel much more special?

Update: What's New at Wild Poppy Goods

Oh, hey there! It has been a while, hasn't it!? Here are a few favorites currently on the site.

1. The Calder Necklace, made by Young Frankk, is hands down my favorite piece of jewelry in the shop right now. We've almost sold out, but there is one left! Better snag it up before I do because I am preeeetty tempted. Seriously. The perils of owning a small business ;)

2. These matching earrings are pretty rad as well. Pair with just about anything for an instant cool girl look.

3. This bowl from Forged & Found is perfect for so many things. I just love the soft white color and the organic shape!

4. Mid Century brass goblets... I mean, come on! How good are these? I love that they have just the right amount of shine to them, and the texture makes them have a more natural and casual vibe.

5. Lauren (my amazing studio mate and owner of Lauren Winter) modeling an early 1950s bias cut dress. Isn't it so lovely with those art deco inspired details!?

6. This 1960s wiggle eyelet dress is surly stunner. If it were my size, I'd seriously snatch it up in a hot second. It's the right amount of sexy, comfortable, cute, and.... it is SUPER flattering.

Maker Spotlight: M Grace Jewelry

One of my favorite aspects of my job is being able to work with likeminded, passionate, and creative women. When buying for Wild Poppy Goods, I seek out those who believe in what they create. I truly feel that the objects you fill your life with should be made intentionally, ethically, and be beautiful or functional. That is why I was drawn to the work of Malia Grace Mau. It is evident that every piece that comes out of her studio is made with care and love is poured into it. Malia is the woman behind Los Angeles based jewelry line, M Grace Jewelry. She uses the ancient lost wax technique to make all of her jewelry and carves each by hand. All production is locally sourced and made from recycled metal. The collection draws from images and symbols found in ancient civilizations and nature, combined with a modern rustic aesthetic. Each piece is carefully considered and infused with protective energy. In keeping with mystical cultural traditions, Malia believes jewelry transcends aesthetics and serves as power pieces to invoke the wearers intentions. You can follow her on Instagram and check out her shop for other pieces not being carried by Wild Poppy Goods

Collaboration: Garnett Jewelry / Wild Poppy Goods

The name of my blog, A Wild Poppy, was influenced by the wild and untamed nature of California. The state I will always call home. Inspired by the idea behind A Wild Poppy, Garnett Jewelry created a special edition bracelet engraved with the word wild. This brass bracelet is a wardrobe staple and is perfect for daily wear.
