当代中国政府与行政是一门以1949年以来的中国政府与行政为研究对象，以探索建立社会主义政治文明为目标，以培养应用型政府与政治理论人才为归宿的课程。设置该课程的目的不仅在于政治社会化的需要，也是探究降低政治运行成本、谋求政治发展和社会发展、培养健全的公民人格的要求。本课程的基本任务是，通过学习使学生了解中国政治结构中不同部分的功能与地位，重点掌握中国政府的核心部位及其运行，包括中国人大、行政、司法、政党、国家元首等，在较高的层面上本质性地认识和理解中国政府与行政。

This course is designed to introduce Chinese government and executive since 1949 for students who have limited knowledge about Chinese political life, to explore the establishment of socialist political civilization, to educate the applied talents as destination. The purposes of the course lie not only in political socialization, but also in exploring reduction of political running costs, in seeking political and social development, in training sound civic personality as well. This course examines the function and status of the different parts of China's political structure, focusing on the core parts of the master of the Chinese government and its operation, including China's National People's Congress, the executive, the judiciary, political parties and so on, economic and political development in China--their causes, patterns, consequences, and implications in order to make students understand thoroughly Chinese government and administrative in a high level.
