本课程试图为学生理解当代政治生活中的政府及其各部门等多种角色参与政策过程提供一种解释，政策过程研究也是一个聚焦于不同社会的公共选择、目标设置等过程的课程。本课程将政策过程视为当代世界各国围绕特定政策问题进行议程安排的过程。通过本课程的学习，使学生了解和掌握政策过程研究的逻辑和基本方法，科学地认识政策过程的复杂性及其非线性演化的动力与轨迹，从而为更好地做好政策分析提供理论依据。

This course is intended to offer students an understanding of the various and vast roles played by the different branches of governments in contemporary political life. The study of public policy process also a field that focuses on the priorities of different society as portrayed in the public policy choices that elected representatives make on the part of citizens and the size of different interest groups that advocate on behalf of particular policy goals. This course looks at the public policy process from beginning to end and in a wide array of particular policy areas that are of importance to contemporary society. This course enables students to understand scientifically the logic of the policy process research and the basic methods，to grasp the complex and nonlinear evolution of public policy process in order to do a better job for public policy analysis.
